BLUE SMILES DONATED TO THE YOUNG PATIENTS OF THE PAEDIATRIC EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT IN PIETRA LIGURE
"Painted Hospitals" arrives at the Santa Corona thanks to the Air Force of Capo Mele
Thanks to a voluntary fundraising effort by the Capo Mele Air Force Detachment, the 115th Remote Radar Squadron (S.S.R.), together with the Andora, Albenga and Imperia Associations and the 108th Frecce Tricolori Club, a dozen panels were installed this morning in the Paediatric Area of the S. Corona Emergency Department. The artistic murals were created by Master Silvio Irilli of Ospedali Dipinti.

"Children certainly feel more comfortable in a fun and colourful environment; the Painted Hospitals' intervention offers a sensory experience closer to their way of living and thinking, helping them to cope more serenely with the experience of being in hospital, a simple outpatient visit or, as in this case, a visit to the Emergency Room. I would like to thank the Air Force personnel at Capo Mele, Andora, Albenga and Imperia for this donation, which will certainly be appreciated by our young patients".
Dr Alberto Gaiero
Head of Paediatrics
"While expressing my sincere thanks to Dr Alberto Gaiero and Dr Alessandra Longagna for having enthusiastically accepted the proposal for the initiative and allowing it to be carried out, I would also like to thank Maestro Irilli for his praiseworthy and valuable work, not only for the artistic significance of the works but above all for the human significance, given that the initiative is aimed at children.
The aim is to be able to give an emotion, a smile and a bit of serenity to the young patients who will be visiting these environments".
