GIANNINA GASLINI INSTITUTE OF GENOA
TREASURE ISLAND
The new playroom of the pediatric hemato-oncology department of the Giannina Gaslini Institute of #Genova, which we transformed into a beautiful "Treasure Island," will become a moment of joy for young patients, thanks to the donation of La Roche-Posay.
It was also a special day for little Emanuela, the winner of the competition who had the honor of seeing her drawing included in the artwork.
BEFORE and AFTER
"On behalf of the Giannina Gaslini Institute, I would like to express my gratitude for this initiative, which touches on two precious values for our hospital: welcoming and humanizing care, in order to offer the best care to young patients and their families. It is nice to know that our inpatients will be able to have a Treasure Island in the Hemato-Oncology ward that is rich in color and meaning, because it was made with a project that involved children for children."
"It was a great thrill to know that children from the oncology ward were behind the door waiting for us to finish "Treasure Island" for the playroom. Little Mermaid Sofia showing the winning drawing of the contest, Captain Dolphin, a large treasure map on the floor, palm trees, characters, the treasure chest and a sea view... All this appeared to the children in opening the door of the new playroom. To see in their eyes the joy in finding their world that allows them to continue dreaming, I think is the most beautiful thanks to La Roche-Posay's great gesture of donation."

"At La Roche-Posay, we are proud and happy to have supported this project, which also allowed us to involve pharmacies, the children who joined in by making many drawings to transform the Playroom into an enchanted place inspired by the marine environment."
